Dr Daniel Nour is Director of Street-Side Medics and says:
“What we proposed is a mobile medical centre; essentially a general practice on the road which attends to the needs of the homeless community in pre-allocated areas in collaboration with homeless shelters and services. In providing a mobile medical service in the form of a van, we are able to collaborate with these existing services and expand the scope of patients we are able to see. The van will be set up to have all the common facilities mandated to have a general practice including medical examination, basic pathology, procedures and minor surgical procedures. This ensures that a large population of the homeless community will be present, and reduces barriers currently existing which inhibit access to health services”.
The meal being served: Chicken supreme with prosciutto wrap asparagus, mash potato, roasted vine tomatoes. Vegetarian option: Mushroom Risotto
The cost to attend is $30 which also includes dinner. This is payable on the night. Everyone is very welcome to attend but please let us know you are coming by clicking the contact us button below.
