Come along for an inspiring talk by local Greenwich “girl” Kathleen Cook. Kathleen was an awarded high school sprinter but gave it all away to pursue a teaching career and then raising a family. However, at 63, urged on by a gym coach and keen to improve her fitness and conditioning level, she resumed her sprinting life within Masters Athletics, training 3 days a week. Since then, she has competed in numerous national and international events and holds several Masters records. Kathleen sees no ‘finish line’ as she is a ‘Sprinter for Life’ and looks forward to sharing her story with us. |

These schools serve around 300 children from fisherfolk and itinerant families, many of whom are the first in their families to receive an education.
