Tonight we listened with interest how, following a grant from our club, Jacqui Jones has had a successful year running her wonderful ‘Greatfulness Program’ in local schools. The partnership has now evolved to the next level whereby as part of Jacqui’s program the children will be encouraged to put into practice
Heartland School in Nepal project update
Chanda Koirala and Ram Mishra from the Heartland School in Kathmandu, gave an insight to the club of the workings and challenges of the school which was established by our member Patrick Price. The school which caterers for disadvantaged and poor children is financially supported by our club as well
Inspiring our young mathematicians
Today our new 2019/20 President Stephen Miller was invited to be the guest speaker and to present awards at Lane Cove Public’s end of term Maths Assembly. He entertained Years 3 to 6 with a fun presentation on the importance of primary maths. Principal Mr McKinnon really enjoyed the talk
