This project began at Lane Cove Rotary and has since been cloned around Australia. It has become the Nusa Tengarra Association’s (NTA) biggest benefactor. The project is simple but hugely effective. Operating in the poorer parts of Indonesia the aim is to increase the availability of water to villages, farmers and schools by providing water tanks. These can be built for as little as $350 hence the projects name. Each project uundertaken is transparently tracked and monitored by our serviice provder on the ground – the NTA.
Much work is also being done with local schools on the islands. MAny don’t have a toilet which is always seen as a priority to build. After that libraries, teacher training and infrastructure follow closely.
100% of any donations is used on the projects and reports are sent once complete. Farmers and schools never recieve the money just the materials or training required. You could say it is helping people to help themselves.
