Join us for a fun and relaxed evening as the Bradfield Rotary Community Group (RCG) Clubs come together to welcome District Governor Michele and enjoy some friendly competition with Barefoot Bowls at The Diddy.

The Appleton Ladies Potato Race Stage Play hosted by Rotary Chatswood Roseville at the Zenith Theatre.

Russell Hall is the Australia and New Zealand Country Lead for Kuiper Commercial Services. He will be telling us about Amazon's Low Earth Orbit satellite and developments in communication technology and global broadband connectivity.

From My Brain to Theirs - My Life with Neurosurgery.

Assoc Professor Brindha Shivalingam is a Neurosurgeon who operates at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. She has often been on the TV show RPA. 

Brindha will speak about the history of Neurosurgery and her life in this career. She will then focus on her passion for changing the outcomes for patients with brain cancer and highlight the cases of Prof Chris O’Brien and Prof Richard Scolyer.

In conjunction with Lane Cove Council and Lane Cove Rotary there will be 1 minute silence remembrance for Domestic and Family Violence sufferers in Lane Cove Plaza. This initiative is part of the United Nations '16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence'. 

There will be an information stall from 11am to 2pm for information and advise about domestic and family violence. 

Come and celebrate Christmas with us! Bring your partner too and wear something 'Christmassy'. 

Santa may even pay us a special visit. This will be our last meeting for 2025 before we recommence in mid-January.

We need final numbers, payment and any dietary requirements by Monday 8 December. Please reply as soon as possible.

The annual Ham Night to raise funds for Domestic Violence sufferers will be held at the Lane Cove Bowling Club. 

Lindsay May OAM - His view of the 2025 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

Lindsay, who has completed 50 consecutive Sydney to Hobart Yacht Races, will speak about the 2025 race, sharing what actually happened on the water — the conditions, challenges, decisions and moments that defined this year’s event from a sailor’s perspective.

Min River was declared the Overall winner of the 2025 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, making her owner, Jiang Lin, the first woman to ever win the race and together with her co-skipper Alexis Loison they also became the first double handed crew to lay claim to the famous Tattersall Cup – a day of historic significance in the race.

Lindsay’s talk will include

·       some of the video of the race

·       the conditions, and

·       a discussion of the protest

Lindsay’s talks are always engaging and insightful, and we very much look forward to hearing his perspective on the latest event.

Join us for a relaxed and joyful Rotary District 9685 picnic designed to celebrate YOU, the people who give so much to others. This is a chance to fill your cup with laughter, connection, and gratitude, surrounded by fellow Rotarians, families, and friends.

Dinner will be in the Bistro area from 6pm and the meeting will start in the hall at 7pm.

I encourage all members to attend our upcoming Club Assembly and bring ideas for donation priorities and possible Paul Harris Fellowship recognitions in our community.

This is an important opportunity to review where we are, align on priorities and projects, and have open, practical discussion about what’s working well and what we can improve. Your input helps keep our club strong, active, and relevant.

His role focuses on building connections, offering a listening ear, and supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. Liam works alongside community organisations to help strengthen wellbeing, resilience, and a sense of belonging in Lane Cove.
