Welcomed Terry Cornick From the UK. The effect on a family of depression and  how "Mr Perfect" was born.
Lives in Mosman. Day job is in recruitment for health care providers plus consultant to the industry. One grandfather was a prominent officer of the red coats in the Queen's Guard, and the other an executioner in the IRA! So he figures that there are always two sides to a story.
Experienced puzzling personal meltdowns in  time of plenty. PTSD and depression. High income, pressure job. Misperceptions of my persona by friends (that he as a good guy but not really)  Didn't know about the effect of his own personal rages in his family setting.
Started writing "my story" up to 30yo to try and figure himself out.
Started a blog. Alcoholic father passed away.
Family history of depression.
His story had many twists and turns of moods while developing up to his 30s. Finally. Sought professional help when he commenced to improve but in a still fluctuating way. The term Mr Perfect is hence an ironic one.  If he felt that this state needed to be defined clearly, the Idea being to  recognise it publicly as a condition and to be able to take the necessary action to deal with it.
Social media is often not positive, so avoids it. Wants to eventually come off the medication but for now, it helps. Exercises a lot and walks for long distances. Clears the head. Keeps off alcohol because it definitely triggers depression.
Mr Perfect helps him. It is a grassroots support group. It also boasts a soccer team. Not like an AA meeting. But all welcome. Good to see  a recent "victim" helped by the "system".
The meet-ups don't need much money to run. It started with mates talking about their struggles.
