Dear Tom

A Future Leaders Seminar is planned for 18-19 October 2014.  The Seminar prepares Rotarians who are Past Presidents and who may wish to take up appointments beyond the Club level by increasing their awareness of the scope and internationality of Rotary.

Usually held in conjunction with the Rotary Institute for Governors, this year there is no seminar with the Wellington Institute , and so we in D9685 are convening a multi-District event to be held in the RI offices in  Parramatta.

Starting at 0830 on Saturday the 18th, the first day will consist of presentations and workshops on leadership, RI, TRF and other topics led by top class presenters such as Past RI Director Stuart Heal.  The day will finish with an informal dinner for those staying overnight.  The next day attendees will participate in a professional Presentation Skills workshop in Castle Hill.

Free to D9685 participants, we have places for up to ten members at the Future Leaders Seminar.

Applications are open to Past Presidents  who have not done a Future Leaders Seminar in the past two years (2012, 2013) and selection is competitive.  Applicants should submit their name, a short bio and a 200 word statement on why they should be selected for the seminar.

Note that this is not just for people who think they might like to serve as District Governor one day, but for those who are considering serving beyond Club level in any capacity. (Sorry, not open to Past Governors.)

If you would like to be part of this outstanding opportunity to enhance your Rotary experience, please email me with your application by close of business Monday the 29th of September 2014.

Regards,

Ian Scott, AM,  District Governor
